Beets Are My Thing!

newfind-wildbrineThis raw, fermented red beet and red cabbage sauerkraut salad by Wild Brine rocks! I love the subtle hint of pear and ginger.
Why does every health geek (like me) have fermented foods in their fridge? Here are some of the benefits:
  • – Improved digestion
  • – Rich in anti-oxidants
  • – Boosts the immune system
  • – Recent evidence seems to indicate that raw, fermented foods may help fight cancer.
I eat this by itself or tossed into a salad. It looks great on an antipasto platter and is delicious on a sandwich. I have even put it on a baked sweet potato!
This product is vegan,gluten-free, non-gmo, naturally pro-biotic and comes in a BPA free container. Wild Brine also makes kimchis, pickles, and fermented salsas. Check them out at www.wildbrine.comI have purchased it at The Durham Co-op and sometimes Whole Paycheck has it.

I hope you’ll give it a try!
